Most subjects in the 3rd and 4th year, and elective ones, are taught in English. In 1st and 2nd year, students can choose bwtween Catalan/Spanish group or English group. Therefore, there is the opportunity to study the whole degree entirely in English.

A B2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is highly recommended for students enrolling in the degree.

In today's world, it is hard to find an aspect of our daily lives where we do not interact with a computer application. From the moment our smartphones wake us up in the morning, to navigating the best route to university or work, accessing news, or staying connected with friends—computers are an integral part of everything we do. These applications are powered by complex computer systems that incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, data science, cybersecurity, machine learning, computational genetics, and more.

At UPF School of Engineering, the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering equips students to take on these challenges and be the driving force behind these transformative technologies. Through a rigorous, science-based curriculum, we prepare professionals with the skills needed to tackle society’s most pressing problems, pushing the boundaries of technological innovation. In addition to the core program, students also have the opportunity to pursue a dual degree, allowing them to graduate with two distinct qualifications in less time

The Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering spans four years, with 55 new spots available each academic year. Between 2020 and 2023, the number of enrolled students remained consistent at around 260–295, with a gender distribution of approximately 20% female and 80% male students. The cut-off mark for admission has risen from 9.798 to 10.342 over this period. Notably, academic achievement rates have ranged from 75.41% to 82.49%, and the success rate for credits passed has consistently been high, at 83.52% to 86.59%.

Graduation rates over the past few years have been as follows:

The program includes optional internships in external companies starting in the third year. These internships are supervised by the university and aim to:

Apply and deepen academic knowledge in a real-world setting.
Provide firsthand experience of the professional field, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Develop practical skills and networks that enhance employability after graduation.
Over the last three years, 229 students have completed internships across 84 partner organizations such as CapGemini, NTT Data, Worldline Iberia, Accenture, Mango, Grifols, Volkswagen, INDRA, Avanade, Schneider Electric, IDIBAPS, Keonn Technologies, Aqua eSolutions, Vendo Services, Blowww 4 Analytics, Cuatrecasas, IOMED Medical Solutions, Sycai Technologies, Grupo Catalana Occidente, Gaes, Henkel, Indra, Corporació Guissona, Altran, RocaSalvatella, Penguin Random House i EY.

Internships are also available within the university's own research groups in the Department of Engineering.

Internship selection is based on factors like motivation, interest in the sector, and alignment with the students' skillset. Positive feedback highlights the valuable experience gained, the opportunity to earn financial remuneration, and the wide variety of internship centers available through our network.

The program offers optional mobility stays abroad from the third year onwards. The Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering offers flexibility in language of instruction. Students can choose to study entirely in English or in a mix of Catalan, Spanish, and English, depending on the course. From the third year onward, courses are primarily taught in English.

No mandatory language test is required for students wishing to join the English group; however, a B2 level of English (approximately equivalent to the First Certificate) is recommended to ensure success in the program.

The cut-off mark for admission to the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering for the 2024-25 academic year is 10.232.
