Tips & Tricks for entering (and surviving) into the academic world in Political Science and Sociology

These courses are aimed to provide instrumental and transversal skills to PhD students in order to strengthen the development of their professional and academic careers and the transition to the job market. The methodology combines lectures and workshops from specialists and advanced researchers with more dynamic and participatory formats as well as individual and group exercises.

The technical coordination is assumed by the ICPS with the participation of UAB, UB and UPF. The number of places are LIMITED (around 10 students) with special priority to students in more advance stage in the PhD programme.

Courses in previous editions included: Publish or Perish! Skills for academic publishing; Getting serious about the future: EU funded project and post-doctoral fellowships; Simulating a job interview in front of a hiring committee.
