Tutor and supervisor assignment
Procedure and assignment of tutor and thesis supervisor:
The PhD commitment (or PhD commitment document by more than one supervisor) is the document that the doctoral student, the University, the tutor and the thesis supervisor must sign and in which the functions of supervision of the doctoral students are established. This commitment should be signed as soon as possible once a thesis supervisor has been assigned.
The document will include the procedure for the resolution of conflicts and will include the aspects related to intellectual or industrial property rights.
This document should be signed by the tutor (programme coordinator) and the supervisor(s) as soon as possible after the student has enrolled in the programme. It is requested that the commitment document preferably contains electronic signatures.
When the document is signed by all parties, it will be sent to the secretary ([email protected]) to be forwarded to the Doctoral School.
Please note:
-
If you answered "yes" or "unclear" to any of the questions in the table of Annex 1 of the document, you will need to complete the online training.
-
On the other hand, if you answered "yes" to questions 2, 4 and 8, please write to [email protected] for personalised attention to determine how to manage the ethical issues raised by your project.
- In case of a change of tutor or thesis supervisor, inclusion or deletion of a supervisor, it will be necessary to sign a new PhD Commitment.
