Biography
Nikandros Ioannidis is a PhD student at Pompeu Fabra University under the supervision of Professor Toni Rodon. His present research is related to voter-party congruence, representation and party politics. He holds a master’s degree in Democracy and Comparative Politics from University College London (UCL) and a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Internet Studies from Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). He graduated with first-class honours from UCL. Also, Nikandros was the valedictorian of the CUT graduation ceremony of 2019 as he was the student with the highest GPA of the previous academic year. He was awarded by the President of the Republic of Cyprus for his excellent academic performance. His research interests combine contemporary democracies (especially of Southern Europe), political participation and party politics.
