Student Representatives
All doctoral programs at UPF have PhD student representatives. These are elected by the PhD students of the doctoral programme. The main tasks carried out by the PhD student representatives are:
a) Liaison between the Department and the Student Body
The PhD student representatives are invited to attend the monthly meetings of the Academic Committee (AC) as observers. There they are expected to present any concerns from the PhD student body. Additionally, they will report any relevant information conveyed during the AC meetings to their colleagues in student meetings held on a monthly basis.
b) Event organization
On behalf of their colleagues, the PhD student representatives are welcome to submit any suggestions to the Academic Committee or the PhD Programme Coordinator concerning the organization of doctoral courses or other academic activities. The PhD student representatives are also encouraged to organize social and scientific events for their fellow student colleagues.
