The PhD Research Seminars are designed to get PhD researchers and faculty members more actively involved in the PhD programme, encouraging them to share ideas and connect across different research areas in the department. These voluntary seminars, held monthly and lasting up to 90 minutes, provide a more informal setting for presenting work-in-progress, primarily for second- and third-year students. Presentation in these seminars is voluntary for PhD students from the 2nd year onwards. 

Each session includes one presentation, with one PhD student acting as a discussant to reinforce peer connections. Faculty members related to the session's topic will also be invited to participate as discussants. A week before each seminar, presenters should share their work with the discussant and coordinator, focusing the session on discussion rather than presentation. Coordinated by a faculty member, who manages scheduling, material distribution, and session moderation, the seminars offer sandwiches and drinks as an attendance incentive.
