Joint Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference. The conference will be held at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona).

Member institutions of the network:

  • University of Bamberg, Bamberg, Germany
  • Trento University, Trento, Italy
  • Tilburg University, Tilburg, Netherlands
  • Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain

We aim to have papers from PhD students from Sociology, Economics and Political Science, as well as interdisciplinary discussions. Participation is open to PhD students from all programs of BAGSS, DSSS, UPF, Tilburg, the Department of Political Science of Aarhus University, International Studies (UniTN) and NASP at Milan University. The call is open to contributions within all Social Sciences; and in particular, Sociology, Demography, Economy and Political Science.

We invite, in first place, paper presentations, but early stage doctoral students might also propose a poster about their dissertation project. Students’ fees are 80 euros; faculty’s fees are 120 euros. Fees will cover meals, coffee breaks and attendance to the social dinner, at the end of the 2nd day of the conference.

If you would like to present a paper (or poster), please send an extended abstract (2-4 pages) to [email protected]. Or simply let us know whether you are willing to contribute acting as discussant. The extended abstract should include your contact information (name, affiliation and e-mail address).

The scientific committee will select papers (and posters).

We plan to involve you also as paper discussants and session chairs.

* Deadline for submission: February 15th, 2019

The format follows the usual conference schedule with paper presentations and discussants, and session chairs. The novelty lies on the interdisciplinary mix.

On June 19th there will be an informal get together and on June 20th we will have a social dinner.
