FAX

Facsimile transmission, or fax, is a system of transmitting a document over the telephone system. It can be used to send a report, a letter, etc. Texts sent by fax must be preceded by a standard presentation sheet containing the University's logo, address, telephone number and fax number. Sometimes, however, an urgent message may be written directly on this sheet instead of constituting a separate document.

Format: DIN A4 (210 x 297 mm).

1. Identification of the text
In this section, which is a form you must fill in, you must include the main details of the sender and the addressee:

- The addressee's name and surname(s) and institution or organisation.
- The sender's name and surname(s) and unit or body.
- The date.
- The addressee's fax number.
- The number of pages.

2. Message
This section includes the reason for the fax. Whether the function of the first page is simply to introduce the accompanying documents —in which case the text can be extremely brief (I enclose the report ... as ...)— or it has the same function as a document, such as a letter or an internal memo, you must adhere to the structure and drafting criteria of such documents.
