Functions

The role of the Qualifications and Study Grants Section is to:

• Prepare the forecast of income through enrolment for official studies.
• Manage the information concerning such revenues and coordinate with the management and administration units and other units of the Teaching Area involved in the economic procedures of enrolment in terms of payment control and refund management.
• Coordinate and manage, where appropriate, scholarships and study grants of official calls of a general nature, as well as those convened by UPF itself targeting undergraduate and master’s degree students, and coordinate the management of tuition grants aimed at master’s and doctoral degree students.
• Organize the processes of issuing official and UPF degrees, the European Diploma Supplement, the accreditation credentials with the information and decision sent by the Postgraduate and Doctoral Degree Service with regard to master’s and doctoral degrees.
• Supervise and propose improvements in the computer applications that facilitate its functions, and be functionally responsible for them, in coordination with the Information Systems and Data Unit.
• Assist students in matters related to the scholarships it manages and to degrees.
• Support the development of academic regulations governing matters that fall with it.
