Functions

The role of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Service is to:

• Plan and coordinate processes for the implementation of planned and approved master’s and doctoral studies.
• Support the drafting and amendment of regulations governing the area for which it is responsible.
• Coordinate the necessary actions to facilitate the management of the procedures that affect master’s and doctoral degree students, from pre-enrolment, access and admission to registration and records management.
• Draft reports to facilitate decision-making by the governing bodies in the processes for which it is responsible.
• Advise affiliated higher education centres with regard to the academic management of postgraduate and doctoral studies.
• Define the criteria, advise, facilitate the coordination and the necessary tools of academic management processes to the management and administration units and other units involved.
• Act as a notary of the records or documents generated by the processes for which the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Service is responsible.
