Functions

The role of the Information Services Unit includes:

• Providing the guidelines and establishing the procedures for rendering the University’s Student Information Desk (PIE) service; providing the University’s Telephone Assistance Service (SAT).
• Establishing the criteria to ensure the coherence and effectiveness of Library communications with its users.
• Establishing the criteria for Library and Computing websites and intranets and the like, and coordinating their actions.
• Planning and coordinating the production of materials to disclose, inform of and market the services offered by the Library.
• Any others that may be assigned to it.
