The Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI) has awarded a grant for the promotion of scientific culture in Catalonia to Rosa Estopà, who has presented the proposal Imaginaris de la pandèmia: la construcció d'un discurs científic en la població infantil a través de la conceptualització dels mots in the modality of consolidated talent. The Foundation has also awarded Laia Vidal-Sabanés a grant in the young talent category for her proposal Tractaments del càncer de mama: infografia terminològica per a pacients (Breast cancer treatments: terminology infographics for patients).

Rosa Estopà is a professor in the Department of Translation and Language Sciences at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and is the coordinator of the Online Master's Program in Terminology (IULA). Laia Vidal-Sabanés is currently an associate professor at the Universitat de Barcelona and a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She defended her doctoral thesis, La terminologia en els textos mèdics per a pacients: el cas d'una comunitat virtual de dones amb càncer de mama, under the direction of Rosa Estopà and Cristian Ochoa, last June at the UPF. This grant will allow her to implement the prototype developed in the thesis. Both are members of the research group IULATERM (Lexicon and Technology) of the Institute for Applied Linguistics (IULA).
