No. In accordance with Spanish regulations (article 18 of Real Decreto 1002/2010, de 5 de agosto), official university degrees in Catalonia are issued in Catalan and Spanish. You will have to contact a certified translator to render the corresponding translation.

No. The electronic certificate can be applied for once the student has collected the certificate printed on paper.

After making an appointment, you will be able come and pick it up from the Student Information Point (PIE), at Jaume I building, Ciutadella campus.

You must collect your degree certificate in person by presenting your original National Identity Card (DNI), Foreigner Identity Card (NIE), or passport.

Alternatively, another person may collect the certificate on your behalf, provided that you authorise them by means of one of the following:

  • Registration in the electronic register of powers of attorney Representa or Apodera. The registration must be valid and approved by both the grantor and the representative, and its status must appear as Valid. In this case, the representative must present their original National Identity Card (DNI), Foreigner Identity Card (NIE), or passport, together with proof of the power of attorney.
  • A notarised power of attorney. In this case, the authorised person must present a copy of the power of attorney together with their original National Identity Card (DNI), Foreigner Identity Card (NIE), or passport. If the power of attorney was issued before a foreign notary, it must be legalised through diplomatic channels or bear an Apostille, provided that the country of origin is a signatory to the 1961 Hague Convention.

If you can't come to pick up your certificate in person, you have several options:

  1. We can keep your certificate until you can come to collect in personally.
     
  2. You can authorize someone else by power of attorney. If you request issuance of power of attorney by a local notary public, it must be duly legalized and translated into Spanish for it to be valid.
     
  3. If you live abroad, you can obtain this document at the Spanish embassy nearest your home. Degree certificates cannot be sent to honorary consulates or private homes; we can only send them to the Spanish embassy or government sub-delegation nearest your home. If you are interested in this service, you must send us a scanned letter signed by you with your request indicating the exact address of the sub-delegation or embassy to which you wish us to send your certificate.

Once the transfer has been made, you will have to send an email to [email protected] with the scanned letter and the receipt of the transfer so that we can check its completion and then proceed to prepare shipment.

If you have made an appointment but something has come up, you must cancel it by sending an email to [email protected].

To pick up the certificate another day, you will have to make another appointment.

Should you lose your certificate, we recommend you apply for the electronic certificate.

If you have lost your degree certificate, you can choose between these two options:

  1. e-Degree: You can request an authentic digital copy of your university degree (in PDF format with an electronic signature). Please note that this degree cannot be legalized.
    • Cost: €30
    • Processing time: 3 to 7 days.
  2. Physical Duplicate: If you prefer a paper copy, you can request a duplicate of your degree through this link. Please note that this option involves:
    • Cost: €340 (fee for publication in the Official State Gazette + fee for issuing the duplicate)
    • Processing time: Between 3 and 6 months.
