On 9 May 2012, the Board of Governors agreed on the Regulations governing external internships for UPF students, subsequently amended by agreements of the Board of Governors dated 18 July 2012, 20 March 2013, 1 July 2015 and 11 April 2018.

Article 6 of said regulations establishes that for students to do an external internship, an educational cooperation agreement must be previously entered into, which will be signed by the University and the collaborating entity receiving the students.

Article 52.n) of the Statutes of Pompeu Fabra University, as well as Article 13 of the Regulations on administrative agreements signed by Pompeu Fabra University, approved by agreement of the Board of Governors on 19 October 2016, provide that cooperation agreements be signed by the rector, unless there is express delegation to other bodies.

Therefore, in order to streamline the formalization of educational cooperation agreements, I deem it appropriate to delegate the powers to sign said agreements. In the case of educational cooperation agreements for external internships by undergraduate students, I hereby delegate the powers to the deans or directors of the corresponding Centre. In the case of educational cooperation agreements for external internships by master's or doctoral degree students,  I hereby delegate the powers to the directors of the corresponding Department.

Thus, in view of Law 26/2010, of 3 August, on the legal system and procedure for the public administrations in Catalonia and Law 40/2015, of 1 October on the legal system of the public sector.

By the powers granted in me by Article 52 of the Statutes of Pompeu Fabra University,

I HAVE HEREBY DECIDED:

One.  To delegate the powers to sign educational cooperation agreements for external internships by undergraduate students to the deans or directors of the corresponding Centre.

Two.  To delegate the powers to sign educational cooperation agreements for external internships by master's or doctoral degree students to the directors of the corresponding Department.

Three.  The educational cooperation agreements that are entered into by virtue of such delegation will be deemed as being signed by the rector. The agreements entered into shall bear in the signature the words “by delegation” abbreviated to “P.D.”, followed by the rank and the date of the decision and the name and surname of the signatory.
