Composition

 Rector's resolutions of March 30, 2009, as amended by resolutions of June 10, 2009, October 4, 2012, November 7, 2016, October 31, 2017, January 13, 2020 and October 11, 2023 and November 20, 2024.

The Quality Commission is composed of the rector or rectora, who presides over it, or vice-rector or vice-rectora in whom the rector delegates; the vice rector or vice rectora responsible for Quality; the vice rector or vice rectora responsible for Teaching; the vice-manager responsible for Teaching; the head of the Strategy, Data, and Quality Service (SEDQ); the head of the Office of Study Programming and Planning (OPPE); the quality managers of the centers; the person with general responsibilities delegated the quality competencies; the director of the Doctoral School or the person to whom the director delegates; a representative of the students, appointed by the UPF Student Council (CEUPF); and the secretary, with voice but without vote, is the head of the Technical Unit for Quality or a person assigned to the Strategy, Data, and Quality Service (SEDQ), involved in quality-related tasks.

Functions

Creation standard

Created by resolution of the rector on March 30, 2009 as an advisory body to the rector in matters of institutional quality, and specifically in relation to the planning, evaluation and accreditation processes carried out by the University, as well as its methodology.

 

Functions

  • Promote continuous improvement in the quality of teaching within the university's undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, as well as in the centers where they are offered.
  • Ensure the adequacy, organization, and quality of the processes and methodologies for the planning, evaluation, and accreditation of the university's degrees; coordinate the different strategies in this area and propose new ones, specifically in the institutional quality evaluation processes, the development of improvement plans, and the deployment of strategic plans.
  • Develop the functions related to quality assurance as established by regulations, as well as by various administrations and quality agencies, specifically regarding the Internal Quality Assurance System.
  • Promote, facilitate, and ensure that teaching activities are systematically evaluated and supported by the necessary elements and information, through information systems for teaching.
  • Advise both the rector or rectora and the Board of Management, as well as the units involved, on the deployment of planning and improvement elements within the scope of teaching organization and its institutional integration.
  • Any other tasks delegated by the rector or rectora, either as a result of the university’s own policies in this area or in compliance with institutional or legal commitments.
