Composition
The Quality Committee is made up of the Rector, who chairs it and may delegate the chairmanship to the Vice-Rector for Quality; the Vice-Rector for Quality; the Vice-Rector for Teaching; the vice-rector in charge of Research; the general coordinator of the quality assurance processes; the manager; the vice-rector in charge of Organization; the vice-rector in charge of Teaching; the head of the Projects, Studies and Quality Unit (UPEQ); the head of the Office of Programming and Planning of Studies (OPPE); a representative of the Social Council, appointed by this body; two heads of center, appointed by the rector (they may be appointed deans or directors of centers or, while they exist, directors of departments or two heads of Academic Coordination Units -UCA-); a student representative, appointed by the Student Council of the UPF (CEUPF); a representative of the administrative and services staff, appointed by the rector at the proposal of the representative bodies of the PAS. The secretary, with voice but without vote, is the head of the Technical Office of Quality or a person assigned to the Projects, Studies and Quality Unit (UPEQ) related to quality tasks.

Functions
Creation standard
Created by resolution of the rector on March 30, 2009 as an advisory body to the rector in matters of institutional quality, and specifically in relation to the planning, evaluation and accreditation processes carried out by the University, as well as its methodology.
Functions
- Promote continuous improvement in all areas of the University: teaching, research and management.
- To guarantee the adequacy, organization and quality of the University's planning, evaluation and accreditation processes and methodologies; to coordinate the different strategies in this field and to propose new ones, specifically in the institutional quality evaluation processes, in the elaboration of improvement plans and in the deployment of master plans.
- To develop in the field of quality assurance the functions foreseen by the regulations, and by the different administrations and quality agencies, specifically with regard to the Internal Quality Assurance System.
- Promote, facilitate and ensure that the activities in the field of teaching, research and management are systematically evaluated and have the elements of support and information that make it possible, through information systems for management, teaching and research.
- To advise both the rector and the Board of Directors, as well as the participating units, in the deployment of the planning and improvement elements foreseen and their institutional assembly.
- All others delegated by the rector, either as a result of the University's own policies in these areas or in compliance with institutional or legal commitments.
