Functions

The Equality and Diversity Unit is entrusted to prepare and monitor the Equality Plan and coordinate its implementation; advise the different academic and administrative bodies, services and units regarding gender equality policies; propose and promote measures that ensure the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people; provide support services to people affected by situations of gender violence, LGBTI-phobia and sexual harassment.

It shall also coordinate the development of university policies on inclusion and anti-discrimination in all University activities and functions, as well as the activities arising from the Inclusion Plan. At the same time, this unit shall coordinate, manage and provide attention to students with special needs; coordinate and manage the Psychological Counselling Service, as well as the Mediation Service with regard to students.
