UPF has a network of academic and industrial partners that offer internship positions to the students. In the master’s program, the internships are extracurricular (not compulsory) as they are not equivalent to a number of credits but it gives you experience. You can take up to 800 hours per academic year during the course.The schedule and hours per day are restricted because you need to follow your lessons correctly for this reason the master's coordinator authorizes the company's proposal after checking it. The internship has to be related to the master.
There are two ways to start an internship:
a) The student can apply to a list of internships offers: Internships & Employment exchange Form
b) The student finds a company (that is not on the previous list) interested in hiring him/her. Then, in order to formalize the internship agreement the company should contact the Internships and Job Centre
