English: Intensive preparation courses for Proficiency (CPE)
If you are considering doing this level, congratulations! C2 represents a native competence, the highest level you can achieve in a foreign language. Route to Proficiency courses represent a unique possibility only available at UPF. These intensive courses are designed to give you the opportunity to complete and certify both levels of C2.1 and C2.2 in the same academic year. It is the perfect choice if you need to get to the end of your English learning journey quickly and in a focused way. You will complete level C2.1 between November and February, and level C2.2 between March and June. Since they are demanding courses, there is also the possibility of doing only one of these levels.
These courses are offered in two different modalities: face-to-face courses at UPF campus or online courses via videoconference, with scheduled online work that follows a specific learning itinerary. If you can go to campus Poblenou, choose the face-to-face course, which will allow you to enjoy direct contact with the teacher and your classmates, as well as to use UPF’s excellent facilities. However, if you work or need to have more flexibility, choose the online course via videoconference, with a teacher and a fixed schedule, which allows UPF students to combine the course with their studies and allows people who work or have other obligations to improve their English. In both modalities, course planning, materials and videos with the explanations from the teachers are promptly uploaded to Aula Global so that participans can follow the course.
The planning of the classes, the materials and the videos with explanations of the professor are published punctually in the Global Classroom of the course to allow the optimum follow-up to all the participants. The orientation of the intensive courses is communicative, both in the objectives and in the methodology used. This means that in addition to rigorous grammar training, these courses provide students with the resources they need to communicate correctly and appropriately in English in different areas. Thanks to the formation of small virtual classrooms, participants will intensively practice oral expression as well as written expression.
Take advantage of this year to train in English with native teachers, university-level quality and accreditation!
