Functions

The Technology and Information Resources Area, directed by a deputy general manager, directs, coordinates, promotes and evaluates the services directly supporting research, teaching and management. It directs and coordinates the Computing Service and the Library.

Curricula

Born in Málaga in 1963, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in Public Administration from ESADE as well as in Business Administration, a Senior Management Programme in Digital Transformation from IESE, and Information Systems for Management at ESADE.

He has pursued his professional career in both the public and the private sectors. In the public sphere, he was managing director of the Sabadell City Council Municipal Informatics Institute where he led the Information Management Department. He also held the position of director general of the Catalan Certification Agency (CATCert). In the private sector, he served as CEO of Firmaprofesional SA.

In the organizations where he has worked, he has driven the technology strategy, paying special attention to change management and innovation in electronic services.

He was appointed for the post by the rector on 8 May 2025.
