“Educational Common Spaces. Passing through enclosures and reversing inequalities– SMOOTH”. PI: Figueras Maz, Mònica SMOOTH looks to introduce the emerging ‘commons’ paradigm as an alternative value and action system in the field of education for children and young people. The project critically draws out the implications of the commons for refiguring education and for social change in general, on a footing of equality, sharing, participation, togetherness, caring and freedom. The project will address social inclusion according to the ‘educational commons’, to gain an insight into whether or not they can operate as a catalyst for reversing inequalities, through a variety of methods such as pedagogical documentation, the pedagogical active listening approach, ethnography and discourse analysis. Project start and end: 2021-2024.
Project start and end:2022-2025.

Microdiachrony in endangered languages across modalities (MICRODIAC(H)RO). IP: Barberà Altimira, Gemma i Quer Villanueva, Jose Francisco. This project focuses on two endangered languages in different modalities: Catalan Sign Language (LSC, Catalonia) and Griko (Italiot- Greek variety of Salento, Southern Italy). Change in morphosyntactic properties within such languages has received very little attention so far. This project will make a novel contribution to fill this gap in research from a cross-modal perspective on two fronts: (a) exploring how diachronic change in a relatively small time span can be detected, described and accounted for (microdiachrony), and (b) creating research resources in the form of two corpora that include transcribed and annotated data to make the study of grammatical change feasible. Project start and end: 2021-2025.
-
Millora digital col·lectiva a l'educació: inspiració informada, mútua i oberta (DICOLED). IP: Hernandez Leo, Davinia. DICOLED will launch activities aimed at the dissemination of Open Educational Resources (REO) on the best (non-university) classroom proposals that apply the Teaching Digital Competence and the digitization of educational centers, awareness of critical aspects of CDD (ethics, digital well-being) and facilitating processes for mutual inspiration. Project start and end: 2023-2024.
-
OralGrab:Grabar vídeos y audios para enseñar y aprender. IP: Cassany Comas, Daniel. This project will contribute to better understanding the gradual multimodal digitization of education, explaining the decreasing preference for paper-based practices among all educational actors, relocating the role of writing while highlighting its relevance in multimodal education, with the goal of offering good practice models to scale the analyzed recordings in other educational levels. Project start and end: 2023-2026.
-

Project start and end: 2021-2024.

REACT. Research-action against Antigypsyism and Anti-Muslim Discrimination: An intersectional approach to deconstruct Institutional Racism in schools. IP: Hellgren, Zenia Agnes Andrea. The REACT project examines subtle forms of exclusion and “native preference”, which can become major barriers for students of minority backgrounds. Specifically, this project focuses on two groups that existing research deems to be among those most affected by educational inequalities and by racism in society in general: Roma and Muslim students. The project applies an intersectional perspective and considers the importance of gender/gender identity and social class for individual experiences of negative prejudices. Project start and end: 2022-2024.
-

”Interculturalismo: efectos en el pensamiento divergente y comportamientos intergrupales”. PI: Benet Martínez, Verónica.
