Educational Common Spaces. Passing through enclosures and reversing inequalities - SMOOTH. PI: Figueras Maz, Mònica SMOOTH looks to introduce the emerging ‘commons’ paradigm as an alternative value and action system in the field of education for children and young people. The project critically draws out the implications of the commons for refiguring education and for social change in general, on a footing of equality, sharing, participation, togetherness, caring and freedom. The project will address social inclusion according to the ‘educational commons’, to gain an insight into whether or not they can operate as a catalyst for reversing inequalities, through a variety of methods such as pedagogical documentation, the pedagogical active listening approach, ethnography and discourse analysis. Project start and end: 2021-2024.

Project start and end: 2023-2026.
- Mapping intersectionality: a conceptual and methodological model for the study of inequalities and discriminations. PI: Rodó-Zárate, Maria. Microdiachrony in endangered languages across modalities (MICRODIAC(H)RO). PI: Barberà Altimira, Gemma i Quer Villanueva, Jose Francisco. This project focuses on two endangered languages in different modalities: Catalan Sign Language (LSC, Catalonia) and Griko (Italiot- Greek variety of Salento, Southern Italy). Change in morphosyntactic properties within such languages has received very little attention so far. This project will make a novel contribution to fill this gap in research from a cross-modal perspective on two fronts: (a) exploring how diachronic change in a relatively small time span can be detected, described and accounted for (microdiachrony), and (b) creating research resources in the form of two corpora that include transcribed and annotated data to make the study of grammatical change feasible. Project start and end: 2021-2025.

Reforzando los derechos de las personas trabajadoras en riesgo de exclusión social en la economía verde y circular (GreenPoors). IP: Chacartegui Javega, Consuelo. The premise from which we start at GreenPoors is that the transition towards a circular and green economy will involve multiple labour law institutions, especially in relation to the vulnerable groups of workers. Project start and end: 2023-2026.
- Trayectorias de vida de agresores y víctimas de violencia en pareja. PI: Rodríguez Menes, Jorge. The study proposes to analyze the life-long penal, employment, and health trajectories of perpetrators and victims of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in order to shed light on the overall debate about the gendered nature of IPV.
