Resounding success for the GPEFM students of UPF at the 2006/07 Job Market

All seven students graduating with a doctorate from the Graduate Programme of Economics, Finance and Management (GPEFM) of UPF who went on the job market in 2006/07 have received jobs at universities and central banks. All received offers from more than one institutions. Final placements are:

Alessia Campolmi,Central European University and Central Bank of Hungary (Budapest, Hungary).
Irina Cojuharenco,Universidade Catolica Portuguesa (Lisbon, Portugal).
Stefano Gnocchi, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Bellaterra, Spain).
Judit Montoriol, Boston Federal Reserve (Boston, USA).
Ricardo Nunes, Federal Reserve Board of Governors (Washington DC, USA).
Oscar Andrés Nupia, Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia).
Carsten Sprenger,International College of Economics and Finance (Moscow, Rusia).

Joachim Voth, Economics Professor at the Department of Economics and Business at UPF and Placement Director in the GPEFM this year congratulated the candidates on their successes. He considers them a testament to the great work of supervisors and graduate students, as well as the excellent support by the GPEFM office staff. These excellent results together with the talent of the students will help to raise the profile of the UPF graduate program in the future.
