1. Project Design & Publication (Company & University)

  • The company and the university jointly design the Industrial Doctorate (ID) project proposal.
  • They complete the application form with the ID project details and submit it to [email protected]
  • The proposal will be published on the Industrial Doctorates Programme website within 5 working days so the candidates can apply.

2. Candidate Application (Doctoral Candidates)

 
  • Candidates interested in undertaking a project must apply using the candidate section of the proposal form.
  • Available Project Offers are listed on the programme website (classified by university, area, and company).
  • Eligibility Requirement: Candidates must submit higher education transcripts showing an average grade equal to or higher than 6.5 out of 10.

3. Admission (Successful Candidate)

 

Once selected, the successful candidate must formally request admission to the doctoral programme associated with the project.

4. Grant Application (Company & University)

  1. After the candidate is selected, the company and university finalize the grant application online.
  2. They must attach the following documentation required by AGAUR:
  • Collaboration Agreement: Pompeu Fabra University provides templates for this. The agreement must follow the official grant regulations.
  • Thesis Director: The director must be part of a recognized research group (Generalitat de Catalunya), an ICREA researcher, or an ERC grant recipient
  • Candidate selection certificate.
  • Doctoral Programme Admission Letter.
  • Candidate's Academic Transcripts: Must show an average grade of 6.5/10 or higher.

5. Final Confirmation (University)

1. The university confirms the grant application via the AGAUR app.

6. Grant Acceptance & Final Documentation (All Parties)

This is the final step to formalize the grant.

6.1. Deadlines

  • Acceptance: The grant must be accepted within 45 working days of the resolution date (6 months for non-EU candidates).
  • Start Date: The candidate may start their position up to 25 working days after the acceptance.

6.3. Additional Company Documents (Co-financing Modality Only)

The business partner must provide the following only if they are not already on file with AGAUR:

  • Deed of incorporation or statutes of the company.
  • Identification document of the company's legal  representative and power of attorney.
  • Bank details form (must be signed by the financial institution).

6.4. How to Submit Documents via AGAUR

Send the application through the AGAUR associated procedure. To carry out this procedure, any person must authenticate themselves with one of the proposed identification systems.

  1. Log in to the AGAUR procedure portal using a valid identification system.
  2. Fill in the form fields as follows:
  • Reason for request: Select "Acceptance documentation."
  • Reference to identify the request: Select "AGAUR File" and enter the file code (year/line/number).
  • Type of file identification document: Select "CIF" (for the university or company) or "DNI/NIE/Passport" (for the doctoral student).

Important: The grant acceptance process will not be complete until all required documentation has been submitted correctly.
