Research interests and groups

Sociolinguistics and applied linguistics. Currently, her lines of research include qualitative studies and mixed methods on:

  • Ideologies and language practices in multilingual and multicultural contexts, 
  • Language teaching, acquisition and learning in multilingual, multicultural and internationalized contexts. 
  • Transcultural competence in internationalized educational contexts and stays abroad. 

She has also researched processes of reading literary texts in a foreign language, as well as the use of technology in language learning and teaching contexts. Her two most recent research projects are: 

    

Principal researcher of GREILI-UPF (Research Group on Intercultural Spaces, Languages and Identities) and researcher of the consolidated research group ALLENCAM (Acquisition of Languages from the Multilingual Catalonia). As a member of ALLENCAM, she has been a member of the funded MULTILINGUA Network (2022-2024). She was also a member of COST ACTIONS SAREP (Study Abroad in European Perspective) network (2016-2020) and ENIS (European Network on International Student Mobility: Connecting Research and Practice) network (2021-2025). She is one of the promoters and members of the new research network ICLHE 2024-2027 ("Internationalization and Multilingualism: Strategies of Integration of Contents and Languages in Higher Education") funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
