I joined the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) in 2008. I was asked to coordinate the Master's Degree in Advanced Studies of Social Communication, and taught, from 2010-2011, a course on Research methods in digital media, and in 2009-2010, a course on Historiography of communication and journalism.

In 2013-2014 a news master program was designed under my supervision, the Master's Degree in Social Communication Research. There I taught two courses: Qualitative research methods in communication (from 2013-2014 until 2016-2017) and, from 2017-2018 onwards, Content and communicative discourse analysis.

A couple of volumes gather some texts about research methods: Methodos: research methods in social communication. Vol 2. n.1, Open textbook: an introduction to design a communication research study, Methodos, vol. 2.

Some of the advances of a teaching innovation project on research methods in coomunication are accessible through a website, named A living handbook on research methods in communication: applying digital language to teaching materials online. This type of book helps students to know how to search for information, contrast sources and synthesize the contents. It also helps them to write their own texts setting out the information studied previously in an objective way so that it can be part of the contents to be studied in the book.
