It is a pleasure to share with you the first event of MACIES, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Charles III University of Madrid, which focuses on European interdisciplinary studies.

We are pleased to announce a conference led by Daniel Kelemen, scheduled for Friday 12 April at 18:00, in the Salón de Grados at the Puerta de Toledo campus. In addition, Sara Iglesias (lecturer at the Complutense University) and Gisela Hernández (researcher at CSIC) will participate as discussants, which promises to enrich the discussion.

MACIES and the Master in European Economic Governance of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid are pleased to invite you to this event. For those who cannot attend in person, we will offer an online webcast of the event, allowing participation from anywhere.

MACIES is part of the Jean Monnet Partnership Spain, which brings together expert researchers in European affairs from 4 Spanish Universities: Pompeu Fabra University (Dr. Javier Arregui), Autonomous University of Barcelona (Drs. Ana Mar Fernández-Pasarín and Nuria Font), Autonomous University of Madrid (Drs. Elena García and Luís Bouza) and Charles III University of Madrid (Drs. Juan Antonio Mayoral and Aleksandra Sojka). The idea of JMPS is to collaborate in research projects, dissemination and media activities and sharing synergies between the four universities (and of course any other university that wants to collaborate with this network) to establish extracurricular activities for students whose center of interest and/or research is European politics.
