The Department of Translation and Language Sciences (DTCL) offers for the academic year 2015-16

8 paid teaching assistantships for research-oriented students enrolled in the Department's master's programs: 

  • Master's in Translation Studies (MET)
  • Master's in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (MLTA)
  • Master's in Discourse Studies (MD)

8 paid teaching assistantships for the 2016-2017 academic year

The Department of Translation and Language Sciences (DTCL) offers for the academic year 2016-17

8 paid teaching assistantships for research-oriented students enrolled in the Department's master's programs:

·         Master's in Translation Studies (MET)

·         Master's in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (MLTA)

·         Master's in Discourse Studies (MD)

 

FIRST PERIOD RESOLUTION 

SECOND PERIOD RESOLUTION

 

Each beneficiary

1) will receive a monthly gross honorarium of 448.67€ as teaching assistant during 2016-17 and an amount equal to the tuition fee of their Master's Degree (up to 60 credits), and

2) will teach practical classes up to 60 contact hours during the 2016-17 academic year under the supervision of a DTCL faculty member and will provide support for the course.

 

Selection criteria are:

·         Curriculum Vitae, university record, and motivational letter from the applicant

·         Adequacy of qualifications to the teaching needs of the DTCL

·         Command of some of the languages used in teaching within the Department

 

There are two application periods for 2016-2017:

 

    First application period: from March 4 to March 18, 2016.

    Second application period: from May 26 to June 9, 2016.

 

The second application period will not be opened if all paid assistantships are awarded in the first period. The final decision concerning applications will be published on the website April 15 for the first application period and July 6 for the second application period.

Submit this application form duly filled in and signed either by handing in a hard copy at the office for the Department of Translation and Language Sciences or as a pdf attachment sent to this email address: [email protected] typing in "Practiques Remunerades 2016-2017" on the Subject line.

 

Only candidates who are admitted to one of the Master's Degrees, MET, MLTA, or MD, will be considered. These paid assistantships are for research-oriented students, which excludes formal enrolment in a Practicum.
