Important aspects to consider for work experience

When performed in a family business

  • From academic year 2020-2021, it is established a maximum of 9 credits for work experience for those situations where student is first-degree relative with business owners and/or business members
  • This limitation will apply even if the student has proved 250 hours or more of work experience
  • Student must inform about this situation the Secretary of the Faculty in writing.
  • The Secretary will individually evaluate the appropriateness of assigning credits for the internship
  • Failure to report this circumstance may be grounds for cancellation of the assignment of credits

When performed in a Temporary Employment Company or an intermediary company

  • Each situation will be evaluated by a special commission and there is no guarantee that credits will be awarded.
  • It will be especially appreciate if there is a real interlocutor in the company hosting the internship, who will be committed to valuing the student in writing.
  • It will also be appreciated if the company already has a framework agreement with the UPF.
  • It will be necessary to ensure that all the requirements that ensure the proper function of the internship are fulfilled, as well as good communication between the company and the UPF.
The definitive authorization of all the agreements belongs to the internship coordinator of the Faculty, and in accordance with the requirements mentioned above.

To request the valuation of work experience

Which documents must be set?

It is necessary to send to the School of Economics and Business Secretary by CAU form, these two documents:

1) Request for authorization of curricular internships

  • This document must be duly signed and stamped by the firm and signed by student.
  • Download the following document in one of the three available languages:

2) Employment contract
