Benito Arruñada, Professor of the Department of Economics and Business at UPF, has been appointed by the American Law Institute as a member of the Social Science Advisory Panel for its recently launched "Restatement of the Law of Property", a codification project scheduled to be completed in the next five years.
In American jurisprudence, the "Restatements of the Law" are a set of treatises on legal subjects that seek to inform judges and lawyers about general principles of common law. There are now four series of restatements published by the American Law Institute, an organization of judges, legal academics, and practitioners founded in 1923.
