Is it obligatory to enroll in the "Treball Fi de Grau" (TFG) – Final Year Project (FYP)?

Yes, in any case, it is mandatory to enroll and pass the TFG in order to comply with the undergraduate syllabus.

Can I take the TFG in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year?

No, the TFG can only be taken in the 4th year. That is why it is necessary to comply with the progression of studies (articles 2.1, 3.1.1 and 4.5.2).

Is it possible to take the TFG in a 5th academic year?

Undergraduate regulations indicate that students must enroll in the 60 first-year credits in the first year of enrollment at the University.

However, from the 2nd year the student is not obliged to enroll all the credits of the course, therefore, only some subjects can be taken.

This is applicable to the Final Project, being a 4th year subject, it can be done in a 5th year.

Can I choose the group of the TFG or will it be randomized?

Students will be able to choose the group of the Final Year Project, depending on their preference to make it in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd trimester.

In each quarter there are two groups for Economics, Business Administration and Management and Business Sciences-Management.

English groups will be in the first and third trimesters (groups 1 and 5 respectively).

There are two groups for International Business Economics, one in the first and the other in the third quarter (groups 1 and 2 respectively).

The group is chosen at the time of registration.

Can I validate the TFG with a Professional Training Course?

No, according to normativa (article 8.1.3) the TFG cannot be recognized.

Can I recognize the TFG?

Can I do the TFG if I am on exchange?

Yes, as long as you are enrolled in the subject Final Degree in the corresponding term (see PDA).

No. You can only do the TFG in the quarter in which you are enrolled.

- In no case can you do the TFG with a group that does not belong to the quarter to which you are enrolled.

- The groups of students can be formed by students of different degrees from the Faculty.

Do I have to defend the TFG?

The evaluating faculty will be able to request a face-to-face defense in those cases that it is considered appropriate.

Is the TFG recoverable, in case it is suspended?

Yes. Consult the PDA of the subject.

Can I give up the evaluation of the TFG?

Yes. The TFG has the same behavior as any other subject in the syllabus.

What documents must be filled in to complete the TFG?

None, because you only have to enroll in the quarter / group chosen.

Only cases of specific modality of the TFG, the documents that you will need can be found in the Global Classroom of the subject.

How can I opt for the specific mode for doing the TFG?

You need to find a tutor for your work (different from the teachers assigned to the Final Degree course) and present your proposal when choosing the topic (beginning of the term). At this point, the tutor of the subject will evaluate your proposal and give approval.

The teacher who directs your TFG will need completed documents that you can find in the Global Classroom of the subject.

Does the specific modality allow the TFG to be done in groups?

Will the title of my TFG be reflected in my transcript / certificate of studies?
