The UPF School of Economics and Business is happy to welcome incoming freshman for the academic year 2017-18. The School is proud of the high level of achievement already displayed by these incoming students, and looks forward to providing a challenging environment as they undertake studies at the UPF.

UPF undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business are among the most competitive in Catalonia, and strong freshman numbers once again reinforce the programme's reputation for excellence in education.

Demand for first preference to UPF undergraduate degrees has risen to an all-time high, with a total of 6,752 applications received for the coming year. Of these, 1,554 applications were for Economics and Business degrees, for which only 630 freshman seats were open across the five undergraduate programmes. On average there were about 2.5 applications for each accepted seat.

With sharp demand comes tough competition, especially on the university entrance exams that all students must take at the end of high school. The Fall cohort is already among the best, with overall admission cut-off scores remaining strong for the past several years. Out of a maximum of 14 points, each of the programme's five degrees maintained a cut-off mark above 10.2.

The Fall semester will start on September 26th, and students are encouraged to participate in the introductory seminars and review new student information.
