Libertad González, Professor of the Department of Economics and Business at UPF, has won a 2015 ICREA Academia Award. The Catalan Institute for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) has resolved the seventh call of the ICREA Academia Award, with a total of 190 candidates competing for it, from all the fields of knowledge. The winners of the ICREA Academia award receive a research grant for a period of five years.

The ICREA Academia programme was launched in 2008 with the aim of fostering and rewarding excellence in research done by professors of the Catalonia’s public universities. Thus, the programme contributes to the intensification of the research carried out by university professors who are in a fully active and expansive phase of their research careers.
