Jose Garcia Montalvo, Professor of the Department of Economics and Business at UPF, has won for the second time the ICREA Academia Award for research excellence.

The Catalan Institute for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA) has resolved the sixth call of the ICREA Academia Award. These awards aim to promote excellence in research done by professors at public universities in Catalonia. Therefore, the program contributes to the intensification of the research carried out by university professors who are in a fully active and expansive phase of their research careers.br />
The ICREA Academia Award involves priority dedication to research activities during 5 years. The annual budget should preferably be allocated to hiring personnel that can assist the award-winner with teaching tasks or research activities.
