The Department of Economics and Business of Universitat Pompeu Fabra ranks 37th worldwide amongst research centers in economics, according to the ranking compiled by the Center for Research in Economics and Business of Tilburg University. Within Europe, it ranks 14th. The results are published at https://econtop.uvt.nl. Based on publication success in the top 5 journals in economics (Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics and Review of Economics Studies) the Department of Economics and Business of the UPF rises to 29th position in the world and 6th in Europe.
