After a selection and evaluation process carried out over last winter, the Department of Economics and Business of UPF has hired four new faculty in the fields of Management and Finance. A brief profile of the new professors is presented below.
- George Chondrakis: PhD Oxford University, Saïd Business School. Research Fields: Technology and Innovation Strategy; Mergers and Acquisitions; Intellectual Property Rights; Theory of the Firm.
- Mihalis Markakis: PhD Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Research Fields: Modeling, Analysis and Optimization of Stochastic Systems, and their applications to Operations Research and Management.
- Andrea Polo: PhD Oxford University, Saïd Business School. Research Fields: Corporate Finance; Corporate Governance; Law and Finance.
- Jordi Quoidbach: PhD University of Liège. Research Fields: Social Psychology; Decision Making; Management; Consumer Behaviour; Happiness, and Emotion Regulation.
