Frederic Udina, professor at the Department of Economics and Business of the UPF and currently director of the Statistical Institute of Catalonia (Idescat), has been named to be the president of Ivalua (Catalan Institute for Public Policy Evaluation).

Ivalua was created in 2006 as initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya joint with the Barcelona County Council, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Jaume Bofill Foundation.
