Oriol Amat and Marti Guasch, Professors of the Department of Economics and Business of the UPF, have won the second prize in the 2013 IMA Case Writing Competition, rewarded with 1,000 dollars, for their case "General Lab". The ceremony of the awards took place in Anaheim (California) on August 6th.

This award is given annually by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the United States, and it is one of the world’s most important prizes awarded to the case method, a pedagogical tool widely used in the field of Economics, and especially in the disciplines of Business Management and Administration.

The "General Lab" case is going to be published in the prestigious IMA Educational Case Journal (IECJ).
