The Catalan Minister of Economy and Finance, Antoni Castells, the President of Caixa Manresa, Valentí Roqueta, the General Director of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, Eduard Vallory, and the prestigious researcher and professor of the Department of Economic and Business of the UPF, CREI and the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, Antonio Ciccone, have signed a collaboration agreement for the creation of the Professorship Antonio Ciccone-Caixa Manresa. The objective of this professorship is to attract international talented researchers to Catalonia, young people preferably, and to contribute to bring Catalonia’s applied economics research groups to first world row.Caixa Manresa will invest 60,000 Euros at the year 2009 on the creation and funding of this professorship, which will be located on the Barcelona GSE.
