Teaching staff from various University departments explain how they have put the new EDvolució educational model into practice in their subjects through a series of video clips. By using a variety of methodologies such as flipped classroom, problem-based learning or gamification, they have adapted their subject teaching and achieved highly satisfactory results. All put these skills into practice after acquiring them through the EDvolució Training Programme.

Problem Based Learning (PBL)

Learning methodology in which the teacher presents a real problem to students and helps them to find an answer to it, ensuring that they are the ones who find the solution.

Lecturer Andrea Noferini, of the Department of Social and Political Sciences, explains how he uses problem-based learning methodology in his classes.

Research-Based Learning (RBL)

Teaching methodology in which the teacher incorporates the latest outcomes and breakthroughs from a specific area of research into the subject class plan.

Lecturer Vicent Climent Ferrando, of the Department of Translation and Language Sciences, explains how he applies RBL to his classes.

Project Oriented Learning (PDO)

Study methodology in which the student is responsible for their own learning by researching and solving a hypothetical problem or situation presented by the teacher.

Lecturer Marcel Mauri de los Rios, of the Department of Communication, talks about Project-based Learning methodology.

Lecturer Berta Alsina Español, of the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences, talks about her experience in Project-based Learning and debates with researchers.

Flipped Classroom

Teaching methodology in which the student studies at home before class and takes advantage of the classroom experience to consolidate the knowledge learnt, by way of activities and practical case studies. The traditional classroom approach where the teacher explains the theory in class and the practical exercises are done at home without support is therefore inverted (flipped).

Lecturer Alberto Carrio Sampedro, of the Department of Law, explains how he applies Flipped Classroom methodology to his classes.
Lecturer Andrei Boar, of the Department of Economics and Business, talks about his experience applying Flipped Classroom methodology.

Gamification

This technique designs educational journeys through actions and tasks, with game-based features, in order to increase student motivation.

Lecturer Àngel Lozano,  of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, talks about his experience using Gamification.
