The Innovation Network is a network made up of different bodies devoted to pedagogical quality and the transformation of learning processes. It is coordinated by the Academic Coordination Unit (UCA) Innovation Managers, the Office of the Vice-Rector of of Academic and Student Planning and CLIK staff. Its aim is to promote and implement educational improvement strategies at UPF which involve the interaction and coordination of various Academic Coordination Units (UCA) and other external institutions.

What does it do?

The Innovation Network is responsible for:

  • Promotingprojects for teaching innovation and improvement
  • Promoting cooperation and/or collaboration through sharing good practice inspired by, for example, Scholarship approaches.
  • Contributing to setting and applying standards and quality indicators of teaching innovation at UPF
  • Becoming a driving force for educational transformation and renewal at the University
  • Generating room for discussion about current trends and needs in university higher education
  • Being a reference model for knowledge and educational trends and their practical classroom application (online and offline) at UPF
  • Developing interaction between experts in the field of education both in and outside of the University
  • Facilitating the improvement of teaching quality through mutual observation practices and peer revie
  • Developing analysis, diagnosis and research in the field of education and in the specific areas in which UPF specialises

Innovation Managers

Innovation Managers are the people in charge of issues related to educational innovation in each of the Academic Coordination Units (UCA). Their mission is to develop innovation in teaching in general at UPF.

Innovation Managers’ responsibilities are to coordinate and lead the educational innovation projects within the UPF’s strategic plan. They also contribute to and encourage the PDI of their respective Academic Coordination Units (UCA) in their professional teaching development and their participation in teaching innovation opportunities.
