The TRANSGANG Working Papers are documents of the editorial series of the research project TRANSGANG. The transnational gangs as agents of mediation: Experiences of conflict resolution in street youth organizations in southern Europe, North Africa and the Americas, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) within the framework of the Research and Innovation program of the European Union HORIZON 2020 (grant agreement No 742705).


The name of the series refers to the Working Papers of the Center for Contemporary Cultural Studies (CCCS) of the University of Birmingham, including the famous Resistance through rituals. Youth subcultures in post-war Britain (Hall et al., 1975), giving rise to the British cultural studies, that had a great impact on the research of youth bands.
