Moussa Bourekba is a researcher at CIDOB (Barcelona Center for International Affairs). He is also an associate professor in International Relations at the Blanquerna Faculty (Ramon Llull University). Moussa has a Master in International Relations, specialized in "Integration and Transformations in the Mediterranean and in the Middle East" by Sciences-Po Grenoble. Before joining CIDOB, he was a junior researcher at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed, Barcelona). He also worked as a consultant for the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI, Brussels). At CIDOB, he has worked as manager of the SAHWA project, a European project funded by the European Commission that aims to analyse the trends and perspectives of young people in the Mediterranean Arab countries. His research work focuses on: radicalization processes, violent extremism, conflicts and transition processes in the MENA region and Islam in Europe. He speaks French, English, Spanish and Arabic.
