The aim of the awards is to promote the use of Catalan in the field of research, knowledge transfer and scientific dissemination.

The awards consist of two modalities and up to a maximum of 8 awards between the two modalities:

  • MODALITY A: THESIS OR ARTICLE. Best doctoral thesis or article based on the results of a doctoral thesis written in Catalan.
     
  • MODALITY B: TRANSFER OR DISSEMINATION. Best knowledge transfer or dissemination action, carried out in Catalan, based on the results of the doctoral thesis.


Each participant may apply for only one modality.

This award is compatible with modality B of the grants for the promotion of the Catalan language in research, knowledge transfer and scientific dissemination activities of the UPF. 

🕓The deadline for submitting applications is 15th October 2026. 

Submit the application form and the documentation through the UPF Electronic Office by means of a general instance.

You must provide the followig information in the general instance:

  • In the section DEMANO (write it in Catalan and with lowercase letters, as shown): Sol·licitud als Premis Doctorals Fabra a les millors Contribucions en Recerca, Transferència i Divulgació en Català 2026
