Postdoctoral Researcher motion capture and multiscale modelling
Postdoctoral Researcher motion capture and multiscale modelling
Responsible for a new motion capture laboratory at the Department of Communication and Information Technologies, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. Movement inverse analysis and knee joint biomechanical simulations for osteoarthritis patients. Statistical treatment and classification of simulation results.
The successful candidate will joint the SIMBIOsys group of the Department of Communication and Information Technologies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. He/She will be responsible for the installation of a new movement analysis lab and for the subsequent capture and analysis of gait data of osteoarthritis patients. Inverse analysis data will be adapted to automatically feed the boundary conditions of patient-specific knee joint biomechanical models. The results at the tissue level will be statistically related to the clinical characteristics and motion features of each patient, so as to further classify patients and the related clinical features against objective biomechanical descriptors. He/she will also provide support in exploring the links among biomechanical and clinical features, and measured and simulated biological data.
