The Online Terminology Program is offered to all national and international students, from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and other universities worldwide, who wish to increase their knowledge of terminology.
If you wish to complete the full Online Master Program in Terminology or the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies: Terminology and Professional Needs, you must submit in your application your Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) diploma , in accordance with the university’s regulations of postgraduate courses and UPF-specific master’s degrees.
If, instead, you wish to take separately one or more of the courses listed hereunder (without the need of completing the whole master’s program), you don’t need to comply any requirements:

NOTE: candidates will be selected in strict order of registration until the maximum number of places offered is covered.
The UPF will open the registration period for the Online Terminology Program on June, 2022. Registration will close one week before the beginning of every course. In case of enroling for the whole Master’s program (75 ECTS), the registration will end on October 5, 2022.
3. Registration by modules. If the student wants to enrol separately on one or more of the courses which comprise the Online Master Program in Terminology.
a) In the case of enrolling in the whole Master’s Program, the student will obtain the UPF-specific Master’s degree in Terminology awarded by said university.
b) If the student enrolls just for the Diploma of postgraduate studies: Terminology and professional needs he or she will receive a Postgraduate Degree diploma issued by the Pompeu Fabra University.
c) If the student enrolls in one or more modules comprised in the Online Master Program in Terminology, he or she will receive a certificate for each completed module issued by the Institute for Applied Linguistics (IULA-CER) from the Pompeu Fabra University.
The prices of the Online Master Program in Terminology for the academic course 2020-2022 are the following:
a) Enrolling for the whole master from the beginning (one payment)4.000,00 €

There are currently three available discount lines:
a) For institutions or companies that register a group of 5 or more students all at once.
b) For active members of the Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Argentina), in accordance with the agreement signed between the UPF and the Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

To complete your application, during the registration process we will ask you to attach the document listed bellow, which will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee:

Photocopy of your university degree (if you are in the last year of your degree, you can provide the academic transcript for admission).
Photocopy of ID Card or Passport.
Passport-size photo (.jpg format).
Additional documentation may be requested in certain cases.
Please, keep in mind that the places are limited.
NOTE: For each course to be opened a minimum number of students must be reached.
It is possible to consider the exemption from taking the introductory module (Course of Postgraduate Studies: Foundations of Terminology), and, consequently, the recognition of the corresponding 10 credits (ECTS), exclusively for those students who enroll in the entire Master program (not for those who enroll by modules), who provide documentation which certifies basic knowledge in terminology.
This exemption and subsequent credit recognition will have to be approved by the Direction of the program and the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Office of the UPF. In this case, each credit will have a registration fee of 25% of the original amount, as established by the regulation of the UPF-specific studies. This fee will be included in the single payment for the registration of the entire Master's program.
