Internal Recognition (Partial Recognition of Online credits)
For those students who have obtained the Diploma of Online Master of Terminology by IULA-UPF and are enrolled in Official Master of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the department of translation and language science of UPF, up to 47% of the online credits can be recognized which are correspondent to 35ECTS (10 ECTS of the final project and 25 ECTS of the subjects), equal to 58% of the aforesaid Master. The recognized subjects are as follows:
Common advanced training (10ECTS)
Morphology and the Lexicon (5 ECTS)
Semantics and Pragmatics (5 ECTS)
Corpora and Computational Tools (5 ECTS)
Specialization itineraries (10ECTS)
Lexicon and Terminology (5 + 5 ECTS)
Master's Degree Final Project (10ECTS)
Once students are enrolled in the Official Master “Theoretical and Applied Linguistics” and after applying for the internal recognition of the credits, they should choose only 3 subjects (15 ECTS) for acquiring the general base of the Master and then they should perform the Master's Degree Final Project (10 ECTS). It is recommended to choose two subjects among common advanced training and one among methodology. At the end you will obtain the official Spanish title issued by the Pompeu Fabra University.
IULATERM in collaboration with ECQA offers the opportunity of obtaining the ECQA Certified Terminology Manager- Basic performing the official exam of ECQA with some specific conditions. In order to obtain this recognition you need to hold the Diploma of Online Master of Terminology. This external recognition let our Master participants be exempt for performing the questions of the units 1 and 2 of the ECQA exam.

One of our experiences in this category is collaboration with the University of Turin, forming part of their official on-campus Master. The on-campus study consists of diverse subjects in which collaboration with other institutions plays an important role. The Master in International Translation is organised by three Departments of the University of Turin (the Department of Culture, Politics and Society, the Department of Law and the Department of Foreign Languages) in collaboration with the University Language Centre (CLA) and the Research Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies (CIRSDe) of the University of Turin, the University Institute of European Studies (IUSE), the TuttoEuropa Training Centre, the Unione Industriale of Turin and the research groupIULATERM of the University of Pompeu Fabra (Spain).
