What is the electronic degree certificate?

The electronic degree certificate is an additional service that Pompeu Fabra University offers its graduates through the company Signe, S.A.
UPF graduates may also have a true copy of their university degree certificate (in digital PDF format with an electronic signature).
 

After you have made your application and paid the corresponding fee, you will receive an e-mail within one week at the address provided on the form, giving the passwords for accessing the true digital copy of the diploma.

Important: The electronic degree cannot be legalized.

 

The electronic degree certificate can be requested only after the student has collected the physical degree certificate by sending an email to [email protected]. It is necessary to attach the application form and the bank payment receipt.

The cost of the electronic degree certificate is 30€. The payment is done through bank transfer to the following bank account number:

  • It provides you with a true digital copy of the official university degree certificate.
  • It avoids the need to move around with your degree certificate to make an attested copy to prove its authenticity, with the risk of loss of the document that this entails, and saves you the administrative costs and the costs involved in applying for a duplicate degree certificate if you lose it.
  • It saves time and money because you do not need to make an attested copy of the degree certificate.
  • It gives you a true digital copy of the degree certificate throughout your professional career, at a very low one-off cost.
  • It allows you to access a true copy of your degree certificate and send it by e-mail from anywhere in the world with Internet access.
  • It guarantees permanence over time, as against the physical deterioration of the original paper degree certificate.

 

NOTE: once the e-degree application is made and the verification email received, when you are on the SIGNE website and wish to access the authentic digital copy of your degree diploma, an error message (VALIDEZ DESCONOCIDA) might occur in the PDF document itself. This is a problem concerning the Adobe programme installed on your computer.
