Community national not resident in Spain
- EU citizen registration certificate. If you will be living in the city of Barcelona, make an appointment to apply for a certificate one month before you travel, and request inclusion in the official register of inhabitants as soon as you arrive.
Non-community national not resident in Spain
Non-community national with a study permit
- Residence and research permit, as envisaged in Spanish Law 14/2013, of 27 September, on entrepeneurial activity, if you need to sign a pre-doctoral contract.
- Student work permit (please note that you will not be eligible for unemployment benefit)
- Residence permit and exemption from the requirement for a work permit, obtained by virtue of having held a study permit for at least three years.
Non-community national resident in Spain for over five years
Holder of an expired permit needing to travel outside Spain
Non-community national undertaking a research period without an employment contract
