The researchers Jordi Alonso, Roderic Guigó and Àngel Lozano appear in the list of the most cited scientists that takes into account 0.05% of all of the scientists in the world, published by the company Clarivate Analytics.

Maria Rauschenberger receives the German Reading Award (Deutscher Lesepreis) and the Fem:talent Scholarship for her Ph.D. on dyslexia.

In this year’s event, hosted in Berlin last November 9th, the Foundation Lesen and the Foundation Commerzbank-Stiftung have awarded different projects for their commitment to the reading promotion at the German Reading Awards.Maria’s project was one of the ten honoured projects.

European Training Network on Music Information Retrieval

The MTG is participating in a new Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network dedicated to Music Information Retrieval that will start in April 2018.  As part of the  project, 15  PhD  students will be supported and trained within the different partner universities and companies. The MTG will host 3 of the  PhD  students. The name of the network is New Frontiers in Music Information Processing (MIP-Frontiers).

The MoCA Lab to improve knee replacements gets under way

The facility is located on the Poblenou campus and is managed by the Department of Biomechanics and Mechanobiology of the BCN MedTech research unit. It will be used to analyse and explore functionally and far more precisely patients suffering from osteoarthritis in the knee joint. It is to be carried out in collaboration with Hospital del Mar.
