The aim of the programme is to promote the quality of higher education and boost the research careers of talented young people. The Pompeu Fabra University, with the support of Banc Santander, reaffirms with this call for applications its commitment to the generation of knowledge and the development of future doctors and PhDs, thus contributing to the strengthening of the research and innovation system.


Up to a maximum of 16 grants of 2,000 euros each will be awarded, distributed among the different doctoral programmes.

Participation requirements:

  • To be enrolled in a doctoral programme at the UPF at the time of applying for the grant.
  • To have passed all the annual evaluations, in the ordinary call, carried out up to the time of application.
  • To be resident in Spain


The deadline for submitting applications is from May 7 to October 1, 2026.

Register your application on the Santander website and submit the additional documentation through the UPF Electronic Office by means of a general instance.
